Starting a fitness journey in mid-life is rarely straightforward. For me, it began with the gentle breeze of early post-partum changes at 39, but by my early 40s, challenges quietly crept in. As I approached my mid-40s, I found myself swinging between bursts of energy and inexplicable fatigue, weight fluctuations, and persistent IBS flareups that lasted for weeks. My gut, often called the second brain, was sending clear signals that it needed serious attention.
This journey has been about more than just physical fitness. It has become a continuous effort to nurture the connection between my mind, body, and gut. The process requires patience, professional guidance, and a willingness to listen deeply to what my body is telling me.
